Zimbabwe Localisation Summit
On 5 June 2025, the Zimbabwe Alliance for Humanitarian Action (ZAHA) convened a landmark Localisation Summit in Harare, uniting humanitarian stakeholders to strengthen locally led crisis response. The summit addressed critical challenges including unequal power dynamics, shrinking funding, and limited local representation while calling for reformed coordination structures, equitable partnerships, and shared risk management. Despite these barriers, participants identified opportunities to leverage agile local responders and innovative financing models to advance the localisation agenda.
